Teams from China, India and Russia entered top-3 of Battle of Robots in Moscow

The Russian team took 3rd place at the Battle of Robots international championship, the teams from China and India became 1st and 2nd. The semifinals and finals of the competition took place at the Moscow's Expocenter, RIA Novosti reports.

The Chinese team Roc won three million rubles, two million for second place went to DS ROBOTICS from India. The TurboMeChatronics Moscow team, which became the third, received a million rubles.

These teams, as well as the St. Petersburg Energy girls, won the right to compete in the super final, which will be held in February next year in Kazan. Teams from these countries, as well as from Turkey, took part in the competition.

The international championship aroused great interest in the world; over 5,000 spectators came to the finals and semi-finals; in addition, the competition was watched online by over four million people.

The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, said that in 2024 Russia intends to open the Robot Battles school league. He said that the championship brought together the best teams and noted the importance of expanding the geography of the project.

The participants were greeted by Deputy Head of the Russian Government Dmitry Chernyshenko, who noted that Russia is moving towards technological independence in accordance with the task set by President Vladimir Putin.
