Teachers from 28 countries sent applications for International Russian Language Olympiad

The results of the first qualifying stage of the International Teaching Olympiad in the Russian Language have been summed up. It is conducted by the Baltic Federal University (BFU), the university’s website reports.

About 150 people from 28 countries competed for victory. 11 people demonstrated the best results and were invited to the finals, which will take place in November in Kaliningrad. 

Among the participants were teachers of Russian studies from abroad. The qualifying round started on July, 11 and lasted until September, 20.

To participate, teachers were asked to make a video of themselves describing their philosophy of teaching Russian. Participants were also asked to prepare a worksheet for the lesson ''Russian language for the professions of the future'' and share their idea of an ideal Russian language teacher.
