Vladimir Putin's official visit to Kazakhstan has started, RIA Novosti reports.

During his stay, he is scheduled to engage in discussions with Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. The leaders aim to cover a range of topics tied to the bilateral cooperation between their countries. The Kremlin has highlighted the enthusiasm of the two heads of state to explore diverse facets of their mutual interaction.

The sides will also exchange views on various issues on the international and regional agenda. The discussions will prominently feature the topic of collaboration within the framework of integration associations in the Eurasian space.

Initially, Vladimir Putin and Kasym-Jomart Tokayev will engage in one-on-one discussions, followed by the inclusion of other delegation members and representatives from the authorities of the Central Asian republic. The talks will culminate in a ceremony of signing documents, and the presidents will make a joint statement to the media.

Kasym-Jomart Tokayev views the Russian language in the CIS as playing a crucial consolidating role. He believes that the use of the Russian language contributes significantly to bolstering friendly ties among the countries within the Commonwealth.
