Russian language ambassadors set off on 1st expedition to India

Participants of the Russian Language Ambassadors international volunteer program are taking part in the first educational and educational expedition to India. The classes started on September, 27, they will be held throughout the month. More than 200 students from Indian schools and universities will attend Russian language lessons,  BRICS TV reports.

The program has been implemented for eight years by the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language with the aim of increasing interest in studying the Russian language and Russian culture abroad. In India, the project was supported by the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The Russian language will be taught during master classes, quests and creative lessons. The Russian Language Ambassadors project will also be presented at Jai Narain Vyas University.

Project manager Svetlana Ulyanova called India a long-term partner, noting that the project will contribute to the development of intercultural ties between the two states.

Currently, an expedition to Cuba is also being carried out as part of the project, and in a month the work of Russian language ambassadors in Vietnam will begin. Over the years of the program’s existence, over 48,000 students in 19 countries have become acquainted with it.
