Ukrainians can enter and leave Russia without visas, TASS reports. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

One can cross the Russian border with a Ukrainian passport, diplomatic or official, an identity card of a sailor or an aircraft crew member. For children, one should provide a birth certificate or passport of a legal representative with information about the child.

It is also possible to enter Russia with documents that have expired, as well as with a copy of the conclusion on establishing the identity of a foreign citizen, issued by the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A child who is a citizen of Ukraine can leave Russia together with one of his legal representatives or with another adult who has a notarized consent to do so.

Kyiv announced that it was introducing a visa regime for Russian citizens last summer.
