The number of European countries that have closed their territory to cars with Russian registration plates has increased to six. In September, they were no longer be allowed into Germany, Poland, Finland and the Baltic countries. Some of these states already resort to vehicle confiscation and detention. Some politicians in Europe themselves call the decision racist, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

It is noted that all Schengen countries bordering Russia have taken tough measures against Russian cars.

Even Russians traveling to the Kaliningrad region through the EU territory are not protected from the arbitrariness of European officials. They may also lose their cars. The acting permanent representative of Russia at the EU, Kirill Logvinov, noted that the decision regarding cars fits into the list of other bans, transport and visa, aimed at breaking off the last ties with Russia.

Some residents of the European Union are also outraged by the decision of European officials in Brussels and in individual countries. Political activists in Germany and France say such moves are discriminatory and even racist, and go against European values.

Racism in Europe is allowed if it is directed against Russia and Russians, noted the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot.
