Open Doors Olympiad for foreigners launched application admission

The 1st round of the International Open Doors Olympiad has started. From September, 15 to December, 10, everyone who plans to take part in the competition can fill out a portfolio and answer entrance testing questions. The working languages of the Olympiad are Russian and English. Foreigners from any country are invited to participate.

The 2nd round will last until January, 18.

The names of the winners of the master's degree track will be announced on February, 9. The third stage is planned for participants in the postgraduate track: from February, 21 to March, 13. They will be interviewed by representatives of the organizing universities. The interview will take place online, the winners will be announced on March, 15.

Winners receive a full scholarship to study at a master's or postgraduate degree at the university of their choice.

The Olympiad brings together 14 areas of studies. This year, urban studies and civil engineering have been added to the list.

Open Doors helps attract talented young people from all over the world to study in Russia. It is conducted by the Global Universities Association with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The previous Olympiad brought together 78,000 participants from almost 200 countries. 1,700 participants won the intellectual competition. They were granted state funding to study in Russia.

According to the Ministry of Education and Science, in recent years the number of participants has grown more than fivefold.
