This summer, Saint Petersburg State University, with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, successfully held an additional educational program "Practical Aspects of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language: Pre-University Education."

In mid-June of this year, 55 teachers from 15 African countries began their studies at St Petersburg University. Classes were held online, the audience was employees of universities, lyceums, Russian Houses and private educational organizations. On July, 10, the final certification took place, which all teachers successfully passed.

In addition to theoretical material, there were also many useful practical tips. Many students of the program, in their feedback, especially noted the balance between theory and practice, praising useful classes on difficult topics in the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language.

The additional educational program was created and carried out by St Petersburg University, taking into account the specifics of the audience. St Petersburg University plans to continue and expand its experience in implementing nationally oriented programs (previously, programs were held for teachers from Turkey, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, and Palestine).
