9th Russian-Chinese cross-border cultural festival takes place in Tongjiang

The Russian-Chinese border festival of culture started on July, 8 for the 9th time. The opening of the festival, the program of which included over 50 events, was held in  Tongjiang, according to the telegram channel of the Russian Consulate General in Harbin.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Khabarovsk Territory, the Jewish Autonomous Region and Yakutia, as well as the Consulate General of Russia in Harbin. As part of a large-scale project, more than 50 events are planned, aimed at a vivid presentation of the cultures of the peoples of Russia and China.

The history of the festival dates back eight years, with Tongjiang hosting participants for the first time in 2015. Over the past years, more than 600 exhibitions, theatrical performances, sporting events and seminars have taken place.

In early July, the Children of Primorye international games were held in Vladivostok, in which young athletes from Russia, China and Belarus took part. The competitions were held for the first time, they decided to make them traditional, the athletes will compete in the summer and winter seasons.
