The Memory Candle online campaign will cover about 85 countries, TASS reports. It is carried out by the Officers of Russia movement with the assistance of Rossotrudnichestvo. According to the organizers, they wanted to facilitate participation in the campaign for all residents of Russia and foreign countries.

To join the participants, one needs to light a candle of remembrance and post a photo on social networks with the appropriate hashtag.

The Memory Candle campaign will start at 21:00 on June, 21. It will be held for the 15th time.

As a result of the campaign, it is planned to release a video so that the whole world can see how many countries remember the victims of the Great Patriotic War. It will be posted on the website.

According to various sources, up to 27 million people became victims of the war. Russians on this day light candles as a symbol of memory for each of them. Last year there were 15 main candles - according to the number of Soviet republics that stood up against the enemy.
