The anti-war rally took place in Bulgaria the day before, on June, 18, TASS reports. It united residents of more than 40 cities of the country. The most populous rally took place in Sofia. The motto of the large-scale campaign against the war was "Bulgaria - a zone of peace." It became the 7th in a row.

The rally participants demand to stop the country's participation in military conflicts and Euro-Atlantic integration, and also insist on returning Bulgaria the opportunity to independently resolve foreign policy issues.

As part of the rally, signatures were collected under the demand for a referendum. It is suggested that the question of "peace and sovereignty" be put on it. Only in this way, the organizers of the rally are sure, will Bulgaria be able to solve the most pressing issues of its future on its own. The initiative group that collects signatures is not associated with any political forces. They need to collect 600,000 signatures by July, 10.

The route of the procession went along the main streets of Sofia. The protesters went to the government building, the presidential administration, the country's parliament and the defense ministry. They demanded, in particular, the resignation of the new head of the military department, Todor Tagarev, who advocates the supply of weapons to Kyiv.
