The Pushkin Ball was held in Agadir, Morocco, the telegram channel of the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots reports. In Morocco, such an event was held for the first time. The ball was prepared by the Dar cultural association. It was timed to Russia Day, which was celebrated the day before, on June, 12, as well as to the Day of the Russian Language, celebrated all over the world on June, 6 in honor of the birthday of Alexander Pushkin.

The guests of the ball were able to try their hand at ballroom dancing. The organizers decided not to deviate from the sequence of dances that was followed at such solemn events in the Pushkin era. The polonaise was followed by the waltz, which was replaced by the mazurka.

The Pushkin Ball made it possible to draw the attention of the younger generation to the traditions of their homeland. Young people were given the opportunity to feel their involvement in the preservation of the historical heritage of Russia.
