The Wall of Memory campaign, timed to coincide with the Victory Day, was held in Mexico City. More than 150 Russian compatriots and Mexicans came to the stands set up near the Russian embassy in Mexico City on May 7, RIA Novosti reports.

The campaign has been taking place in the Mexican capital since 2015 instead of the Immortal Regiment march.

This year, almost 500 portraits of participants in the Great Patriotic War were placed on the Wall of Memory, they were attached to the stands by descendants and relatives living in Mexico. Some brought Russian flags with them.

On May 7, over 150 participants, Russian compatriots and Mexicans, came to the embassy to talk about relatives-front-line soldiers, whose memory is honored in their families. The Russian Ambassador to Mexico City, Nikolai Sofinsky stressed that unity and solidarity are extremely important at the present time.

One of those present, Alejandro Centeno, noted that he came to the diplomatic mission together with his like-minded people to express solidarity with Russia and China, which are waging a "global struggle against imperialism."
