An exposition dedicated to the Holocaust opened the day before, on April, 18, in Washington, TASS reports. The exhibition is located in the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo. The opening of the exhibition was timed to coincide with the Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust and the heroism of the Jewish people in World War II.

The exhibition was prepared by the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Museum of Victory. 26 plates show photographs and paintings depicting concentration camps, prisoners, and their belongings. The exhibition will be brought to New York.

The national day of mourning, established in Israel, was timed to coincide with the date of the uprising in the Warsaw ghetto. It began on April 19, 1943. The date is celebrated on the 27th day of the month of Nisan according to the Jewish calendar - in 2023, this day falls on April, 17 and the evening of April 18.
