Russian team won medal standings of International Army Games

The Russian team took first place in the medal standings of the 8th International Army Games. In total, the team won about 40 awards, more than half of them are gold. The 2nd place went to the national team of Uzbekistan, and the Belarusians closed the top three, RIA Novosti reports.

On the final day of the competition, a race took place in the Tank Biathlon category, which ended with a significant advantage of the Russian team, The Belarusian team was the second, the Chinese became third. 

The cup of the absolute winner of the games was given to the Russian participants by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Colonel-General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. Competitions were held for two weeks at 30 ranges and in the waters of four seas. The participants were, in addition to the Russians, military personnel from 11 countries.

The 8th games were solemnly closed in the Patriot center near Moscow, almost two million people attended the competitions.
