Roerich and Aivazovsky's canvases to go under hammer in London

About 190 lots are to go under hammer in London on November, 29. for the Christie's Russian auction, TASS reports. Among them are canvases by Russian artists, items of decorative and applied art, jewelry and much more.

Five paintings by Nicholas Roerich will be presented at the auction. They all come from the time of his Asian expedition and will be sold separately. The portrait of a Tibetan lama was estimated at almost $100,000. The estimate of the "Depsang Plains" landscape exceeds $105,000. 

Vladimir Lebedev's "Young woman with bouquet" is estimated at more than $400,000, ''Genoese towers in the Black Sea'' by Ivan Aivazovsky - at $1,2 million. 

The arts and crafts section will display a number of outstanding works by Faberge.
