Cross Year of Museums will start with summit in Russia and Italy

The Museum Summit will kick off the Cross Year of Museums in Russia and Italy, the website of the Ministry of Culture reports. It is scheduled for September 30 and will be held in Milan, where the heads of the cultural departments of the two countries Olga Lyubimova and Dario Franceschini will arrive. They will join the heads of the largest museums of the two countries, who will discuss topical issues of the museum activities.

An exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Fyodor Dostoevsky will begin work in Milan on September 29. The personal belongings of the writer, rare books, his autographs and other exhibits will be presented in Italy. The exhibition will run until the end of next month.

The works of Russian composers will be performed by the laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition at the Milan Auditorium.
