The head of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin called the 14th Russkiy Mir Foundation Assembly one of the main events in the Russian cultural life. 

Mishustin recalled that this assembly is being held in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, stressing that commemorative events dedicated to this anniversary in various countries has become an important part of the work of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

"Thanks to the Russian centers, solemn ceremonies, conferences, virtual exhibitions, lessons of memory and courage, the "Reading about the War" and "St. George's Ribbon" actions were organized, in which hundreds of thousands of compatriots took part. And everyone was able to honor the memory of the heroes, pay tribute to all who fought at the front, withstood the hardest trials, saved the world from Nazism. It is important that Russkiy Mir is actively involved in combating attempts to rewrite history, revise the results of World War II," the head of the Russian government stressed.
