The Russian Song Festival started on Monday, October 26, in Poland. According to a tradition that has existed for almost ten years, it is hosted by Lodz. The festival is being held for the 9th time, due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, it had to be held online.

One can follow the creative competition on its Facebook page. Competitive auditions will take place on the first day of the festival program. A gala concert of the winners is scheduled for the next day.

The organizers are the Center for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Accord, the Polish Society of Teachers and Teachers of the Russian Language, some city educational institutions, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Warsaw, the Association for Cooperation Poland-East and others.

Over the years of its existence, the festival has become a notable event in the cultural life of the country. This was largely due to the enthusiasm of the Russian language teachers who wanted children to use the language outside the classroom. The competition gives an opportunity to touch the Russian culture and riches of the Russian language through a song. Every year, about 200 people from various cities from all over Poland join the festival participants.

The opening of the festival was timed to discuss the topic of promoting the Russian language in Lodz. It was attended by the head of the city Hanna Zdanovskaya, President of the Polish Association of Teachers and Teachers of the Russian Language Ludmila Shipelevich and others.
