The Alexandrinsky Theater invites viewers to watch its performances online, TASS reports. The performances can be watched on the theater website, as well as on social networks.

As the theater explained, the coronavirus infection prevents people from going to theaters. According to Alexander Malich, general producer of the theater's new stage, Alexandrinka, this will be the first experience of a live online broadcast for the venue.

Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow it will be possible to watch the production of Zhenya Berkovich based on The Solar Line play by Ivan Vyrypaev.

Hopefully, the representative of the theater added, the performance will improve the mood of the audience and suggest a topic for reflection. The theater promised that the experience of online broadcasts will carry on in the future.

Since March 16, city authorities in St. Petersburg banned mass events with the number of participants exceeding one thousand people. The main stage of Alexandrinka accommodates less than a thousand spectators, the New Stage - up to three hundred people. Nevertheless, the theater administration promised to strengthen the already traditionally high sanitary safety measures.

As of March 16, six cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in St.Petersburg.
