The first youth organization of Russian compatriots registered in Mexico. The new association was called RusAktiv, its presentation took place in the Mexican capital, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

The initiators of the creation of RusActive were the participants of a country conference held in Mexico last spring. It is designed to consolidate young compatriots, develop friendly relations with Russia and promote projects to popularize the language of Pushkin and the culture of Russian peoples.

The first event, which was attended by representatives of RusActive, was the screening of the play The Queen of Spades, which was timed to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the birth of Pushkin. The production involved professional actors, the ballet Estado de Mexico, the ensemble Arco and Lira, and the Tchaikovsky Foundation.

Note that a literary and musical evening called Pushkin's Reflection was held in Mexico City in honor of the anniversary of the great Russian poet this summer. The opening of an art exhibition was timed to the celebration of Russian poetry. The works by local artists inspired by Alexander Pushkin became its exhibits.
