Delegates of Asian Political Parties approved resolution of the Moscow Conference

Fight against terrorism and extremism, respect for sovereignty of states and the UN Charter, peacemaking process on the Korean Peninsula became the central focus of the resolution adopted at the end of the 10th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), which was held in Moscow for the first time. Its participants called for closer cooperation between governments, parties and society to prevent conflicts and tensions, as TASS reports. Speaking at the Assembly, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev urged for development of cooperation between young people from different countries.

In the paragraph of the final resolution relating to combating terrorism, the participants of the Assembly recommended countries to engage religious leaders and strengthen trust between the authorities and society. Members of the ICAPP also encouraged expanding the engagement of women and youth, as well as using Internet and social networks more actively, which would allow to reduce tension. In his speech Dmitry Medvedev further discussed topics relating to youth. According to him, interest to Russia in Asian countries is growing, and young people from Russia and other countries can effectively cooperate in educational and humanitarian realms.

In the paragraph relating to military actions, it is stated that they may be carried out only in case of emergency and real threat of terrorism and only in accordance with the UN Charter. The resolution calls for respect of sovereignty of other countries and non-interference in their internal affairs. Also members of parties from different countries agreed to expand action-oriented partnership.   , 

Earlier the Russkiy Mir reported that delegates of three hundred and sixty parliamentary parties from fifty three countries of the Asia-Pacific Region and the Middle East came to the conference, which turned to the event of unprecedented extent. People’s representatives from Africa and Latin America also participated in it as observers. According to organizers, the conference in Moscow brought together representatives of parries, which were voted for by majority of the Earth’s population.
