Winners of World Games for Young Russian Compatriots announced

Winners of the World Games for Young Russian Compatriots on swimming, volleyball and rhythmic gymnastics were announced after completion of the competitions in these three sports’ disciplines, according to the website of the United Russia.

The day began with the female swimming finals. The athlete from Belarus took the gold at the distance of 50-meters. When it comes to the male teams, the gold went to the Russian compatriot from Lithuania, who is followed by sportsmen from Belarus and Russia.

Volleyball matches’ winner is a Russian athlete from Abkhazia, whereas the silver is to go to Azerbaijan.

The ribbon routine winner in the rhythmic gymnastics competitions is a young woman from Kazan. A young athlete from Latvia took the first place in the hoop event, whereas the silver medal was taken by the athlete from Israel. 

The leading position in basketball belongs to the Russian team scoring 6 victories. In mini-football matches, the Russian and Greek teams share the lead in the first group, whereas German and Estonian teams are leading in the second group.

Russians are winning in the chess team event, followed by the teams from Uzbekistan and Armenia.

Besides, finalists of the table tennis became known. There are 16 people from 20 countries among male athletes, there are two young sportsmen from Armenia, two sportsmen from Georgia as well as Turkey and Russia. There are two women from Austria, Russia, Armenia and Abkhazia in the female team.
