Russian schoolchildren win JuniorSkills International Competition in Abu Dhabi

© WorldSkillsSchoolchildren from Russia have won the first JuniorSkills International Competitions held in Abu Dhabi, RIA Novosti informs. The events took place as a part of 44th WorldSkills World Championship hosted in UAE.

Organizers of the competitions offered to arrange a mini-championship for high school students with participation of children from local schools as well as participants from Russia, Belarus and Finland.

Students competed in three categories: graphical design, mobile robotic science and electrical engineering. Russians took the gold in all three nominations. WorldSkills Russia Junior national team represented by Maxim Alzhanov and Daniil Kalinin from Chelyabinsk won the golden medal in the Electrical Engineering nomination. Darya Fradkina from Saint Petersburg was the best in the Graphical Design category, whereas the Mobile Robotic Science nomination’s winners are Roman Magonov and Sophia Gorlenko from Tatarstan.

Representatives of 77 countries gathered at WorldSkills International Championship. People of the simplest professions demonstrate their skills at the competitions. Russia is among favorites. Cooks, technical engineers, tinsmiths, welders, flower décor specialists and representatives of other professions were given certain time for fulfillment of assignments known in advance. All the assignments should be completed in full and with high quality.
