Anton Yelchin memorialized in Los Angeles

The monument to the deceased American actor of Russian descent Anton Yelchin was set in Los Angeles, California, TASS advises.

Many colleagues and friends of the actor including filmmaker J. J. Abrams, actors Simon Pegg and Zoe Saldana who worked with Yelchin over several series of Star Track came to the unveiling ceremony.

27-year old Yelchin died 19th of June 2016 near his house in Los Angeles as a result of an accident. The actor was basically crushed to death by his own car after the parked Jeep Grand Cherokee started to roll back down the steep slope and smashed the young man against the metal fence.

Yelchin was born in 1989 in Leningrad in the family of professional figure skaters. When he was around six months, his family moved to US. He started to act when he was a child. Such movies as Alpha Dog, 2006, Star Track, 2009, Terminator Salvation, 2009 brought him popularity.
