Germany and Russia need each other, Foreign Minister of Germany Sigmar Gabriel has stated. According to him economy of both countries can profit if they look in one direction, RIA Novosti informs.

Germany and Russia have to work towards economic prosperity and restrain conflicts, thinks the head of Foreign Affairs department.

German politician has added that he was very glad that Vladimir Putin has commended the peacekeeping mission proposal in Donbass. At this, Sigmar Gabriel has marked that terms of Moscow are different from conditions proposed by Berlin or Kiev. He has stressed that in accordance with the Minsk agreements his country aims to facilitate the peace process to eventually lift sanctions on Russia.
