Moscow’s birthday in Russian avant-garde style

pixabay.comRussian capital will celebrate its 870th anniversary in the style of Russian avant-garde, IA Interfax reports.

According to the head of Moscow Department of Culture Alexander Kibovsky, park entrances and festival venues will be decorated in this style.

He has explained that the conception of celebrations is based on contribution of Moscow into the design development. The Russian avant-garde style is one of the most recognizable and popular national trademarks. Organizers intend to create a modern image of constantly changing city.

Moscow City Day Festival is to start 1st of September. It will last for ten days. Its logo is Moscow is a history-making city. Its agenda is fully dedicated to people, inventions, innovations more or less connected to Moscow.

Almost fifty festival venues devoted to various topics will be opened around the city, including Moscow Spellbinds venue where people will get to know about scientific success in the field of Space exploration. Moscow Builds venue will tell guests about city architecture. Moscow Opens venue is to display the most important geographic discoveries and a role of Moscow in exploration of the Arctic region. Moscow Sets Records venue is to show achievements of Moscow’s sportsmen. Moscow Creates venue will tell visitors about Moscow’s people of culture.
