Another educational program for young compatriots Reading Book about Blockade took place in Saint Petersburg for the 3d time. More than 60 people from 14 countries including our compatriots from CIS and European countries participate in this popular event.

This project devoted to the World War Two is organized by the city administration. Reading Book about Blockade program has started two years ago when 70-year anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War was celebrated all over the world. After the educational program was successfully conducted for the first time, it was decided to continue organizing it each following year in this format.
This program is designed for our compatriots' children of 12-16 years old, and also for their Russian language, history and culture teachers.

During 3 days spent in the North capital of Russia, participants met with their peers from Saint Petersburg. They went around places connected to Blockade history, including Pisarev cemetery, where many Blockade victims were buried. They have also seen the Road of Life and City History museum. Also professional trainings were organized for teachers.

This year the program started with the minute of silence in memory of the explosion victims in Saint Petrersburg metro.
