Figure skaters Tarasova and Morozov won bronze at ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2017

Russian figure skaters Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov are among three winners of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2017. The tournament takes place in the Finnish capital, according to RIA Novosti. They became bronze medals’ holders in the pairs competition. The day before judges evaluated their programme with more than two hundred and nineteen scores.

A duet from China Sui Wenjing and Han Cong became winners of the competition. The second place is occupied by Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot representing Germany.

One more Russian pair Ksenia Stolbova and Fedor Klimov took the fifth place. Natalia Zabiiako and Alexander Enbert were among twenty best sportsmen occupying the 12th place.

After the competition was over, it has become clear that our country is a holder of three quota places in pairs competition at 2018 Winter Olympics to take place in the South Korean city of PyeongChang next year.

Russian sportsman is leading with her short programme in the single figure skating competition. Evgenia Medvedeva showed an excellent performance: her nearest competitor is more than three scores behind. Two more figure skaters from our country – Anna Pogorilaya and Maria Sotskova did not take leading positions though had been performing very decently.
