Submission for taking part in competition for literary prize Bella has started, reports Rospechat. Russian-Italian Literary Prize Bella was established in 2012 in memory of the outstanding Russian poet of the twentieth century Bella Akhmadulina to support and encourage young poets. The contest winners are determined in two categories which are poems written in Italian and poems written in Russian. The author of the best essay on contemporary poetry will be awarded the prize as well. A new category Optimism as Scent of Life dedicated to Tonino Guerra has been introduced in the new season. Authors of a piece of literature written in Russian and a piece of literature written in Italian can win their prizes in it.

The works sent for the contests will be evaluated by the members of the expert jury chaired by Natalya Ivanova, President of the Russian Literary Initiative Fund. The jury that will evaluate works written in Italian is chaired by Professor of Russian literature Stefano Gardzonio.

The award winners will receive small copies of monument to Bella Akhmadulina set up in Tarusa as prizes.
