Kobe, Japan, has hosted a festival of Russian culture, reports RIA«Novosti». On Sunday, Japanese people had a chance to get exposure to Russian culture, Russian traditional handicrafts and try traditional Russian dishes.

According to the Forum President Natalya Bogoudina, the festival was held at one of the most prestigious city grounds, which was Takahama seaside. The visitors were offered to buy various Russian souvenirs, try Russian crepes and other traditional Russian treats. Everybody interested in making traditional Russian protective charms could do that during master classes which were arranged at the festival.

A concert in which Russian compatriots living in Japan and Japanese performers took part became the highlighted event of the festival. The audience present at it had the opportunity to see Russian folk dances, listen to Russian folk songs and music performed using an unusual musical instrument called termenvox designed by a Russian engineer Lev Termen. The instrument was used by the members of a Japanese ensemble who put the termenvoxes into colored Russian nesting dolls.

The festival was held for the second time. Last year, a delegation from Yekaterinburg visited it.
