Specialists in Russian philology from Osh discuss urgent teaching-related issues

Teachers of the Russian language and literature from 54 Osh schools took part in a session of a training section on 15 August, 2016. They discussed the subject dealing with “Implementation of the State Policy in School Education, new schemes and new decisions”.

Head of the Russian language and literature department at Uzbek language schools O.Zh. Kasymova reported on the performance of Russian language and literature teachers in 2015/2016 emphasizing both on achievements and drawbacks in their work. She also spoke about the possibility of teachers’ advanced professional training provided by the Osh Regional Institute of Education, the Faculty of Russian philology of the Osh State University and the Russian Center. Mrs. Kasymova expressed her gratitude to the Russian Center for its all-round support and help given to Russian language and literature teachers. The Russian Center arrange various events, including seminars in which specialists working at different Russian higher educational institutions take part.

Director of the Russian Center Z.Ya. Miskichekova spoke about urgent needs in improving Russian language teachers’ professional skills under modern conditions. She recommended teachers to take part in webinars and online classes arranged by the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute as well as to take part in a project on the establishment of an international network of Eureka polylingual schools and the promotion of advanced Russian education technology which are implemented by the “Eureka” Institute of problems of educational policy under the auspices of the Rossotrudnichestvo.
