Yesterday, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in China on official visit, reports TASS. It is expected that the visit will be productive and several tens of agreements dealing with different spheres of activity are supposed to be signed.

The program of the visit includes meetings between Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the People's Republic of China.

Vladimir Putin is also to hold negotiations with the President of the People's Republic of China Si Tsinpin and the leaders of Russia and China are to issue a joint statement for mass media.

A solemn meeting dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the agreement on good-neighborly relations, friendship and cooperation between Russia and China is scheduled as well.

On the eve of his visit to China, Vladimir Putin said that the relationships between our two countries are based on high level of trust and they suppose strategic cooperation and partnership in a lot of spheres of activity.

The Russian and Chinese leaders will discuss Russian-Chinese relationships in the sphere of humanitarian matters and cooperation in the sphere of mass media. It is to be reminded that 2016 is a China-Russia Cross Year of Mass Media. Another Russian TV channel Katusha is to start its broadcast focused on Chinese viewers soon. It is going to be the third Russian TV channel available in China. Besides, TASS and Channel One Russia keep on developing their cooperation with Chinese partners.

Vladimir Putin and Si Tsinpin are to discuss cooperation in the sphere of sports. The ice hockey team Red Star Kunlun will join the Kontinental Hockey League soon.
