Poland Prevents Night Wolves Bikers from Getting to Athos Mount

Warsaw has revoked visas of several pilgrim's journey The Holy Mountain participants, TASS reports. A trip to Greece to Athos Mount was arranged by a Russian Night Wolves bikers club.

According to one of the bikers Vadim Strogov, some motor-cyclists had to get to Greece by plane and to rent bikes there. He explained that the trip was devoted to the solidarity of Orthodox peoples and had been arranged in order to prevent some forces from ruining of centuries-long brotherhood of the peoples.

Several tens of bikers are in Greece at the moment although only about 150 bikers were supposed to take part in the campaign

The trip started on May 12. The route goes through holy sites of Athos Mount and orthodox monasteries located in Greece. The participants of the pilgrim's journey are supposed to visit some places connected with the battle honor of the Russian Army on the Balkan Peninsula.

Russian, Serbian, Greek, Bulgarian, Montenegrin. Belorussian, Ukrainian and Macedonian motor-cyclists are taking part in the campaign.

As it was reported by the clearing house of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the Polish authorities had already prevented Night Wolves bikers from entering the country before. Warsaw had not allowed the participants of the motorcycle race devoted to the Great Victory anniversary to enter the country in 2016.
