In line with a now established tradition, conference events were supported by the Sevastopol youth organization Forty-Fifth Parallel and the Ukrainian public organization Russian School.
The III International Conference “Language and Personality in a Multicultural Space” was held in late April at the Sevastopol Humanities University. The event was organized by the Russian and Foreign Language Studies Department of the School of Philology (Sevastopol Humanities University) and the Russian Language Learning and Teaching Department of the Philology School of the People’s Friendship University of Russia.
Participants of the conference included students and graduate students, school teachers and instructors of institutions of higher education from Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Sweden. Reports were submitted for publication in the conference materials from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, China, South Korea and Senegal.
The plenary session of the conference was followed by special sections on: Pressing Problems of Modern Linguistics; Theoretical and Methodological Problems of Linguistic Research; Methods for Teaching Language and Literature in Schools and Universities; Pressing Problems of Personal Development Education; and, Literary Questions in Contemporary Research.
A city excursion was organized for the guests of Sevastopol. In line with a now established tradition, conference events were supported by the Sevastopol youth organization Forty-Fifth Parallel and the Ukrainian public organization Russian School. The next conference is planned for April 2014 and will again be held in Sevastopol.
