Another opportunity to learn Russian will appear in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A new cultural and educational center will be opened in Dubai next year by the Russian-Emirate Business Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, TASS reports.

According to the executive director of the council Alexei Busev, representatives of the Arab countries asked for creation of Russian educational centers. He recalled that not only in the UAE, but also in other countries of the Persian Gulf, there are no such projects aimed at implementing the Russian cultural policy.

The new center will host exhibitions, poetry evenings, meetings with local cultural figures. There will be Russian language courses.

In addition to Dubai, Abu Dhabi is also being considered to host the center. The cultural and educational center of Russia is one of the three priority projects.

The first Russian school in the UAE bears the name of Yevgeny Primakov. The branch of the Primakov Gymnasium welcomed the first students in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the last academic year. The learning process is built in Russian in accordance with the federal state educational standards of the Russian Federation.
