Exhibition dedicated to Eugene Onegin to open in India

Russian Language Day will be celebrated in India, the telegram channel of the Russian Embassy reports. The holiday will be held on June, 6, it is dedicated to the birthday of Alexander Pushkin.

The program will begin in New Delhi with the laying of flowers at the monument to the great poet. The event will be attended by Russian diplomats, fans of Russian literature and the Russian language.

Then everyone will be invited to visit the exhibition of illustrations for the Eugene Onegin novel. It was prepared by specialists from the Mikhailovskoe museum-reserve. It will work at the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo.

Guests of the holiday will be told about the life and work of the founder of the modern Russian language.
