Residents of Narva are bringing flowers to the site of the T-34 tank dismantled the day before, the Readovka telegram channel reports. They began to come in the evening, laying bouquets and lighting candles near the place where the tank used to stand.

The monument tank and several other military monuments were removed on August, 16 by decision of the Estonian government. Previously, residents had gathered around the tank, alarmed by news of plans to demolish it.

The authorities of Narva tried to delay the moment of making a decision about the fate of the monuments, but Tallinn took the situation into its own hands and carried out, according to eyewitnesses, a real "special operation", removing the tank from the pedestal. The Narva police detained eight people who tried to prevent the dismantling.
