International cooperation between Russian scientists and their foreign colleagues continues despite the difficult international situation, even though Western universities face restrictions introduced by the authorities of their countries, TASS quotes the words of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Yulia Gorbunova.

Gorbunova stressed that the authorities of a number of Western countries have imposed bans on full-fledged scientific cooperation with Russian colleagues, despite this, scientists continue to work together. According to the academician, private communication goes on, while the official one is facing some difficulties.

At the same time, Yulia Gorbunova notes that Russian universities do not open new international projects yet. In July, the academician participated in an international conference in Spain, and, according to her, none of her colleagues raised political issues.
