The Russian Union of Latvia (RUL) has collected more than 10,000 signatures under a petition to the European Parliament. The residents of the Baltic Republic called on Europe to stop the wave of Russophobia and the fight against Soviet monuments, the party reports on its Telegram channel.

The campaign to collect signatures was also organized by the Historical Heritage Foundation.

RUL member Andrei Pagor ethanked everyone who found the strength and courage to leave their signature under the appeal.

All signatures were handed over to MEP Tatyana Zhdanok. In a few days, she will submit them to the Committee on Petitions of the European Parliament. She is sure that only the whole world can draw Europe's attention to the dangerous wave of Russophobia and the struggle against historical memory that is sweeping Latvia.
