The Bulgarian Russophile movement critisized the actions of the country's authorities, who did not let the plane of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pass over the territory of the country, the Balkanist news outlet reports.

Russophiles sharply criticized the policy of the authorities, calling it irresponsible and even criminal. The country's authorities are trying to spoil the good relations that have been linking the peoples of Bulgaria and Russia for many centuries, according to the movement. Sofia is doing everything possible to erase historical truths from the memory of the Bulgarians.

The countries surrounding Serbia closed their airspace on the eve of June, 5 to prevent Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov from visiting Belgrade. The corresponding decision was made by the authorities of Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
