Kyiv has announced that it is introducing a visa regime for Russian citizens, RIA Novosti reports. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the corresponding decision will take effect next month.

On Friday, June 17, the Ukrainian government will discuss and approve the withdrawal from the intergovernmental agreement with Russia on visa-free travel.

According to State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin, Kyiv is doing everything possible to break ties between the two countries. The parliamentarian is sure that it did not start on February 24, when the military special operation began, but much earlier. Ukraine is not worried that someone might get hurt, the politician added, because its logic is ''the worse, the better.''

Zatulin added that Kyiv considers Ukrainians who visit Russia as enemies.
