All attempts to keep the era of the unipolar world have failed, Russian President Vladimir Putin believes. He said this during a speech at a meeting of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday, June 17. Putin is sure that this era has come to an end. Washington considers the whole world to be its own colony, the people who live in it are second-class people. The United States promotes its own ethics and culture, and if anyone opposes, they try to "cancel" them, the president explained.

Now Russia is gradually normalizing the situation in its economy, the head of state noted. He added that Russian business and the Russians united in a difficult situation rallied and behaved responsibly. Russian people are strong and, like their ancestors, will be able to cope with any task, the President noted.

Speaking about European sanctions, Vladimir Putin claimed that EU politicians had shot their own economy in the foot. A direct consequence of what is happening will be the aggravation of the split in the world, the head of state is sure. The European Union has already completely lost its political sovereignty.

Inflation in the world is not a consequence of Russia’s special operation, Vladimir Putin is sure, it started earlier because of the rash decisions of the G7 countries. The pandemic has accelerated these processes. The economy of imaginary entities is being replaced by the economy of real values and assets.

Russia ensures its internal food security in the first place, but is ready to increase the export of food and fertilizers to African countries and the countries of the Middle East.

The President called the decision to launch the military special operation difficult, but necessary. This is the decision of a sovereign country that has the right to defend its security. He assured that all tasks of the special operation would be completed. The key to this is the courage and heroism of Russian soldiers.

The President is confident that the rules of the new world order will be set by strong, sovereign states. This is how Russia enters a new era.
