29 British journalists are on the sanctions list of the Russian Foreign Ministry for spreading lies about Russia, events in Ukraine and Donbass. Restrictions were also imposed against 20 British citizens involved in decisions on the supply of weapons to the Kyiv regime, RIA Novosti reports.

Reporters of a number of leading British newspapers, news agencies and TV channels, including the Guardian, Sky News, Times, BBC, Financial Times, Sunday Times and others, will not be able to enter Russia. Russia's MFA accused them of replicating false information about Russia, the situation in Ukraine and the republics of Donbass.

The sanctions list also includes a number of high-ranking representatives of the UK military and companies operating in the defense industry. Restrictions have been imposed against British Minister of State for Defence Procurement Jeremy Mark Quin, Navy Commander Benjamin John Key, Air Force Commander Michael Wigston and others.

The MFA clarified that these people were involved in decisions to send weapons to Ukraine, where they are used by neo-Nazis to destroy the civilian population.

The measures introduced by Moscow can be called retaliatory, since London limited the rights of more than 600 Russians and legal entities with unilateral sanctions. According to the British press, the damage to the UK in connection with anti-Russian sanctions will exceed six billion pounds.
