Russian Language Day celebrated with festive evening in Paris

A holiday dedicated to the Day of the Russian Language was held in Paris, TASS reports. Teachers, students, Russian compatriots joined the celebrations on June, 6.
 
The participants of the event reminded that Russian is one of the working languages ​​in UNESCO. Sadyk Sher-Niyaz, head of the Kyrgyz representative office at the international organization, stressed that the Russian language and Russian culture occupy a huge place in the fate of many peoples.
 
The holiday ended with a concert, during which young French and Japanese musicians and their teacher, UNESCO's ''Artist of the World'', pianist Sergei Makarov, performed. The audience listened to the works by Russian composers.

According to Olga Micho, Deputy Chairman of the Friends of the Russian Seasons Association, it is impossible to imagine world culture without the Russian language and the Russian soul.
