Stefan Garabin, who previously served as Slovakia's Minister of Justice and also headed the Slovak Supreme Court, has been accused of supporting extremism, the Izvestia newspaper writes. The ex-minister wrote a post on social media in support of Russia's actions in Ukraine.

Garabin wrote that he would have acted like Russian President Vladimir Putin during the special operation in Ukraine. He was later arrested and interrogated by police.

On March 3, unknown attackers desecrated the Slavin monument in Bratislava, where almost 7,000 Soviet soldiers are buried. An act of vandalism also took place in Kosice in the last days of March.
