An international Russian-French scientific expedition aimed at studying the history of Ingushetia began in the highlands of the republic. Young scientists from France and Belgium joined the exhibition, TASS reports.

The expedition members began work in the Bisht tower complex, which had previously been restored. The young scientists will search for information about the ancient history of the Ingush land in archives, universities, museums and other institutions in Europe.

Research will be carried out in France, Germany, Poland and other states. The head of the center, Isa Bokov, noted that the expedition will launch a series of humanitarian projects in France, which will be implemented in the next three years as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the revival of Ingush statehood and the centenary of the region.

According to Bokov, the expedition will allow collecting new information and artifacts about the ancient history of the republic.

Earlier, the State Archives of Ingushetia received recordings of Ingush choral songs of 1911-1918 from France.
