Russian journalist and writer Victor Lupan dies in Paris

Viktor Lupan, who headed the editorial board of one of the largest Russian-language magazines in Europe, Russkaya Mysl, has passed away, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in France writes on Facebook.

Russian diplomats express their sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Victor Lupan lived in France for almost 40 years, he moved to Paris in 1985. For many years, he held a senior post in the Syrtes publishing house. For the last 15 years, he headed the editorial office of the Russkaya Mysl magazine.

Viktor Lupan was a member of the Patriarchal Council for Culture. He devoted a lot of time to the educational sphere, and invested in the field of preserving Russian cultural heritage abroad. Victor Lupan was known as a professional journalist, radio host, author of hundreds of features, as well as several books and documentaries.
