Rosatom State Corporation has announced plans to combine quantum computers into a single network and create quantum Internet. The project will help to speed up the performance of computers by tens and hundreds of millions of times, RIA Novosti reports.

Rosatom intends to develop a draft roadmap for the development of quantum computing in the coming year and submit it to the Russian government. The work will be carried out from 2025 to 2030.

Rosatom called developments related to the integration of quantum computers into a network one of the main tasks of our time. The advent of the quantum Internet will open up the broadest prospects for accelerating the performance of devices.

At the end of 2021, it was reported that Russian scientists had created a prototype of a quantum computer based on ions.
