MFA: Russia has strong ties with Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela

Russia has established strong ties with Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov assured. He recalled that recently Russian President Vladimir Putin had several telephone conversations with the leaders of these countries, Interfax reports. Lavrov noted that during the conversation they agreed to develop a strategic partnership.

According to the minister, it continues in the economic, cultural, educational, military and technical sectors.

Lavrov specified that meetings of bilateral intergovernmental commissions of Russia and the three countries should be held in the very near future.
